Some funny comments about the fact that the boy’s dad is also an iPhone programmer. 92BuickLeSabre 12:31 PM on Thu Feb 5 2009 I really like the father-son angle. It’s not like this kid is sitting in his room by himself with no human contact like some kind of anti-social savant. Nope, he’s working with his family and linking his skills and hard-work with the love, support, and good-natured competition that only close ties can provide. *single tear*bosskev 12:43 PM on Thu Feb 5 2009 @92BuickLeSabre: Nicely put, 92BLS. It is nice to see that, at least in some places, family bonds matter. Still, I would not trade memories of my dystopian upbringing for nothing. Well, maybe not nothing. I would consider swapping my disfunctional family memories for one of those Costco 24-packs of Twinkies. Yeah, that I would do. And maybe a tub of cashews.Hiroak 1:26 PM on Thu Feb 5 2009 @bosskev: Your so right seeing my dad kick the crap outa mom was somthing that I will hold dear to my heart. But cashews are really good and have you seen price. Obama Swearing

Clips from an audiobook where he imitates the speech of a childhood friend. Hear the president say “sorry-ass motherfucker ain’t got nuthin’ on me!” japanese style afternoon tea (via michenv) I love eating this, but I can’t remember what it’s called. Anyway, that date sauce in the little pitcher is incredible. I could eat it on toast. The leg hair is totally unnecessary. Onomichi? Something about this photo appeals to me. It could be the golden hour light. Or the typically Japanese low-contrast, desaturated film look. Maybe I’m just wondering what it’d be like to live in a town where things and places bear the proud look of having once been new, without knowing that they no longer are. I mean look at that boat. That bicycle. Even the rust is beautiful. Life must be so much simpler and quieter. |
